The following 2001 scans are from an 1869 arithmetic book that was then in the possession of Estalene (Korns) Dietle, who would have obtained it from the Somerset County Pennsylvania residence of her parents Allen & Gladys (Bittner) Korns. The John Wilson Korns signature is in the front of the book, and the rubbing of the Indian head penny is in the back of the book.
